SMM (Shipbuilding, Machinery & Marine Technology) in Hamburg is the global meeting place for the maritime industry. From 1 to 4 September, exhibitors from 66 countries and over 50,000 visitors came together to exchange ideas on trends and solutions in shipbuilding. For the first time, we were there on a joint stand, together with our Chinese representative and trade customers. It was about time, given that motors for shipbuilding are part of our core business. There was great interest in our drive solutions for anchor and mooring winches, bow thrusters, pumps, hybrid drives, offshore applications, and shock-resistant and flameproof motors. We are delighted that our design and engineering expertise was frequently sought after, allowing us to address specific enquiries.
