Two years after we sealed our distribution partnership with Fukuno International for the maritime industry and exhibited together for the first time at SEA Japan, our Japanese partners paid us a return visit in October: owner Yoshimi Fukuno and Toshihiro Aikawa were our guests here in Nuremberg. The key takeaway: face-to-face conversations remain valuable even in the digital age – although, given the distance involved, they are not often possible. On this occasion, BEN was part of a two-week tour of Europe, during which Fukuno visited other partners in the maritime sector.
Particularly popular in Japan: Replacement motors
In our production area, we were able to show our guests how we work and what matters in motor design. A key topic in the Japanese maritime industry is reliable, precisely fitting replacement motors – an area where we stand out with short delivery times combined with our high European quality standards. According to Yoshimi Fukuno, Japan has similarly high quality standards in industrial manufacturing to those we have in Germany and Europe. We expect our partnership with Fukuno International to provide us with valuable contacts with potential Japanese customers and the opportunity to establish ourselves in Japan, particularly in the replacement motor market.
